Its been awhile since I've been into this vet but a friend's recent experience with inquiring about vet care made me think back and I decided to leave a review. First I would like to let the establishment know that their prices are absolutely ridiculous. Come to Omaha for your vet care and almost anywhere you go, you will be saving money. Its deterring for some pet owners to even take their animal into a vet when they don't have the money. Luckily I convinced this friend to come into Omaha and their cat was seen for a fraction of the price. Unfortunately it was too late. Even with the new services added on, it was all still a fraction of the price that this clinic estimated for services. Absolutely crazy. Talk about being in it for the money and not the animals at all. Its taking advantage of being one of the few clinics in a small town and its gross. Anyways, my past experience taking my dog in was fine. It was expensive but I was a new dog owner and wanted to do right by my puppy. I took her in and got her first round of shots and it was okay. Nothing to write home about. Then as I was leaving I was encouraged to schedule my dog's spay appointment. Which I understand awareness needs to be improved with this topic and many people ignore it and then we have more animals in shelters - totally get it, I worked at NHS and am all about educating the community and advocating for our furry friends. But the vet I saw (idk if they're still even there) said to me, and I quote, "get your dog spayed at 6 months because say she gets pregnant and then has puppies and her abdomen is sagging. Then she's outside and sees a rabbit and takes off after it. She jumps a fence and theres a lose wire - it disembowels your dog." JC okay, I scheduled the appointment, got it done and NEVER returned. I think about what horrible bedside manner that was to do to someone who was being cooperative and wanting to do the right thing! Save it for the folks talking about breeding their pitties for goodness sake. I cried that drive home because I was young and scared it would somehow happen before her appt 6 months out! But yeah, anyways, stop deterring loving pet owners from getting their animals the help they need because of your outrageous prices and close proximity in town.

I have worked with Dr. Chris for years and won’t be going anywhere else anytime soon! Great with handling my difficult dog and has a great attitude about it. Her staff supports her well and the team crates a welcoming environment!

100 % recommend Dr.Chris and her staff! If you listen to what they are explaining you will have no problems. They are truly only trying to help us as pet owners. If we knew best we wouldn’t need a vet. Absolutely the only clinic in a 100 miles I would trust. Thank you Dr.Chris and team for being respectful, knowledgeable and helpful!

I want to be honest and fair with this review because there were good intentions on both sides, but also some frustrations worth sharing. We scheduled an appointment for our dog and unfortunately had to cancel three times due to serious family emergencies a death, a funeral, and then a car breaking down out of town. Each time we canceled as soon as we knew, well before the appointment. mid March to early April just hasn’t been our month. What? I completely understand how cancellations impact a small veterinary clinic. I respect that frustrates the staff and takes away time that could’ve been used for other clients — that was not our intent, and I was upfront about that every time. Where my frustration comes in is with the inconsistency around their policies.today I was told they would charge a $40 deposit to reschedule. I understand having a cancellation or deposit policy and I’m not opposed to it, but that policy was never posted on their website, not visible in the clinic, and not mentioned when doing the intake paperwork. I asked about it, and was told they “don’t have this problem very often,” so they just send a text when they decide to enforce the policy. A business shouldn’t pick and choose when to enforce rules. Either a policy is clear and shared with clients, or it shouldn’t be sprung on someone as the situation happens. That lack of transparency is what left me feeling frustrated, not the existence of a policy itself. My daughter is trying to be a responsible first‑time pet owner, and we didn’t plan for any of this to happen. Because of the communication around this policy, we decided to continue care with a different veterinarian who clearly explains expectations and policies upfront and in writing. This review is not about being upset that they have a deposit policy — it’s about how inconsistently it was communicated and applied.If you use this clinic, make sure to ask exactly what their policies are and get them in writing so there aren’t surprises. They are good with pets and care about animals. just be prepared to clarify expectations before scheduling.
