I have been coming here, my whole life and usually it is great. Vondra is an amazing Vet and some of his staff is also amazing. However, I have had multiple experiences with some staff that do not handle animals properly and lack compassion. One of these experiences included, cornering my anxious and reactive dog that I’ve been working with for so long to work through his fear. When he growled at them, they asked me to put a muzzle on him and then questioned me on how he is with my one-year-old son. He’s an amazing dog and I was so proud of him in that moment because they did not read his body language at all and it was 100% their fault. The most recent bad experience I had Was yesterday. I had scheduled a euthanasia for my cat which was already extremely hard to do. No one knows that cat better than me and no one saw how much pain she was in more than me. She was young, but she quickly went from running and jumping and playing to needing to be carried up the stairs, having to pull herself up onto the couch with her front legs, and lay off to the side and watch the others play. This was not like her at all, and I didn’t want to see her suffer. I don’t have the money for extensive treatments and I didn’t want her to be on a medication for the rest of her life. So, I made the hardest decision to euthanize her and gave her an amazing last day. I shouldn’t have to explain any of this to anyone, but when I went in yesterday, they lacked compassion. They immediately told me that they wanted to do more tests and more medication’s and when I explained how much pain she is in every day at home, they asked me if I talked to the Humane Society about finding her a new home. They then told me that I was putting her down because of my son. Only because I mentioned that I have to feed her in a different room because she becomes aggressive with food. They completely disregarded everything I said about her quality of life. This was already a very hard decision, and I am missing a part of my life that I loved so much and instead of being compassionate, they were extremely rude. No one should ever feel that way because of a decision that they make for the better of their animal especially by a Vet. This has always been a Vet clinic that I would recommend to everyone. Unfortunately, now I think I will be looking for a new vet because having quality care only sometimes is not worth my animals’ wellbeing or my emotional wellbeing.

We absolutely love the staff at Vondra! Warm, friendly, caring. I appreciate that they don't try to sell prescriptions first and give you all of the options available. I feel that they truly care about our pets.

The care and professionalism demonstrated by every member of the team is unmatched. We've been with them for almost 10 years now and we still can't help but talk about the wonderful experience and ease every time we stop by. Whether it's to simply pickup meds or for some kind of work the team at Vondra is great. Thank you!
