I’m sure Dr. Lubben is fine for large farm animals, vaccines and regular checkups for smaller animals. I would not recommend taking a cat that you love there that needs care. Took my cat there Thursday 1/15 and told Dr. Lubben that he hadn’t eaten or drank in several days. He was given a very thick sticky laxative that I was told to squirt in his mouth each day and let him know if my cat wasn’t better Monday. It was like putting glue in his mouth. First thing Monday 1/19 I called and said he’s gotten worse, still not eating or drinking. This time Dr. Lubben did bloodwork and gave him an antibiotic and steroid. Told me to call back Thursday 1/22 if he wasn’t better. I took my cat to a different vet Wednesday 1/21 morning and within 30 seconds they noticed he had a bad tooth dangling there which the vet pulled out with his fingers. Probably the reason he stopped eating. Said he was terribly dehydrated and needed an IV. By that time it was too late. My baby boy died right there on the table. Not sure why I waited around a week while Dr. Lubben played the guessing game and acted like it was no big deal. Just had me keep shoving pills down his throat and putting sticky laxative (like glue) in an already dehydrated mouth. Not sure why Dr. Lubben didn’t think he needed to be given an IV of fluids and not sure why Dr. Lubben didn’t notice the sideways tooth dangling there. Cost me $500 and my cats life. Attached the other vets notes about how critically dehydrated he was just 1-1/2 days after seeing Dr. Lubben and being told to just keep shoving pills down his throat and call back in 4 days if he wasn’t better. He couldn’t make it another 4 days under Dr. Lubbens care or should I say lack of care. They should've at least provided a refund to put towards his other vet bill/cremation.
